Convert the file to Google Docs format by opening it and going to File Save as Google Docs. (A new document should open in a new tab. The original.docx file will remain intact.) Once it's in. Navigate to your Word file and click Open. Next, convert the file. Select the Word document and then select Edit in Google Docs. Select File Save as Google Docs. Just go to docs.google.com and log in, then click on on 'File Picker' (folder icon) and choose to UPLOAD a file and drag 'n drop your RTF file to upload it and it will open in all its glory where you can edit/save/etc., just like you typed it up while using Google Docs.
